在超8底⽚上,15公尺等同於2.5分鐘長度。我在巴黎市郊的國際度衡局外,以⼀卷超8毫⽶底⽚為長度,⾏⾛與2.5分鐘底⽚等長的15公尺距離,以單⼀鏡頭拍下此過程。透過強⾏疊合的時間與空間測定,思索標準化、適應和身體經驗等概念。
On Super 8 film, 15m equals 2.5 minutes. Outside the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures in Paris, I walked this length in one shot. This forced synchronicity of film, time, and space examines standardization, adaptation, and embodied experience.

Optical distance collides with psychological proximity. We walk through a camera obscura to a Lacanian anecdote, where interior and exterior space blur—a process of anchoring oneself from the outside.

Minjung Kim’s (100ft) consists of a single uninterrupted shot, lasting an entire 100ft roll of 16mm film, as two figures with different sized feet traverse a vast, striated landscape.

Colonial sites and memories of uprisings and massacres fill every corner of Jeju. Inspired by René Magritte’s La condition humaine, the film offers a view of the outside of the cave superimposed on a canvas.

An abstract film of marginal light seeping through fragments of transparent structures. Inside the time temple, observers sink into subconscious realms where goddess, temple, and stairs become haunting yet luminous images in the dark cosmos.

Inspired by my sister’s roll of film, I reflected on my relationship with images. Curious about how she saw landscapes, I revisited those scenes. Imagining her perspective, we began a game of shared views.
